1st Journal entry!
Sooo.. since I (and pretty much everyone who knows me..)
consider myself quite a lazy person, this should
function both as a reminder/motivator for myself, aswell as a
chance to catch a glimpse of some of my current and future
costume projects.
My main focus right now is on the new
Lara Croft.
As much as I love her first games, I'm really happy about
the reboot and the breath of fresh air for Lara and the
whole franchise.
At first I was a bit sceptical about the new shooting mechanics
because - quite honestly - I suck balls at shooters, but I was
surprised how quick I got accustomed to it.. and I had a blast!
It's actually one of the few games I finished playing to a 100%.
(Well, OK, I don't even want to know how many deer and
rabbits I killed for practice..)
Anyway, back to costumes.
This is what I have so far:
There is still a lot to make, but I'm slowly getting there.
Almost everything is completely made from scratch, except for
the pants, shirts and boots - but the pants were heavily altered.
I had to dye them three times to get anywhere near the
desired color. Sadly, the axe turned out somewhat too small
and I might redo that thing if I ever feel like it. If so, there'd be
the possibility of a tutorial if anyone would be interested.
My second big project is something I've already started
back in 2011:
Seras Victoria from
Hellsing (OVA Version)
Hellsing was the very first Manga I purchased several years ago
and I absolutely love the OVAs.
It's something I'm really looking forward to.
There are only a few details missing: the gloves, belt and
- of course - the Harkonnen.
The third and last one is
Chloe Frazer from
Uncharted 2.
She's already finished, but I'd like to change a few things
for the sake of accuracy.
Well. That's actually not all that much, isn't it?
If everything goes well, there might even be some time for
another little project.. something I just recently came across
and instantly fell in love with the design:
Catwoman from
Batman of ShanghaiIf you haven't seen it yet, make sure to check it out!
I honestly can't wait to tackle this one!
